Volunteer Opportunity: There is a need for healthy volunteers with trucks who can help with loading and unloading as well as transporting bulk orders of food to the pantry from Aldi's. Volunteer Time: Every other Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. for a couple of hours. Volunteer Requirements: The request and need is for ongoing, regular help Please have a pick-up truck or box truck to help transport items. Duties can include: 1) marking/dating donations and stocking shelves, 2) carrying food boxes/bags to client's vehicle, 3) working at the computer check-in station, 4) escorting clients through the pantry, ensuring they receive the appropriate amount of each item (based on family size), and helping them to select appropriate food items when necessary. Volunteer Time: Monday: 9 a.m. - 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Tuesday: 9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Wednesday: 7:15 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Thursday: 7:15 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Volunteer Requirements: On-the-job training may be required to perform some volunteer duties.  Volunteers may show up during the hours above or leave a voice mail with contact information.   Click here to view this organization's contact information.
