Volunteer Opportunity:
- Assisting riders with special needs by walking alongside during a therapeutic riding class. The volunteer helps the rider learn better horsemanship skills and become more independent on the horse.
Volunteer Time:
- One hour on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday
- Hourlong classes begin at 4:30 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.
Volunteer Requirements:
- Willingness to work with a person who has special needs.
- Comfortable with horses or willing how to learn how to work around horses safely.
- Ability to walk for one hour.
- Ability to jog on one side of the arena with the horse at a trot.
