We may look like a large organization, but when you look behind the curtain here at Cancer Patient Services, we are a team of five hard working individuals. Our events like the Chili Cook-Off would never happen without the help of volunteers whether you volunteer your time, money, or items; volunteers are really the ones that make great things possible. We are a local nonprofit organization linking cancer patients in Hancock County with the important financial, educational, physical, and emotional support as well as healing arts services.

You may ask the question, what's in it for me? And that's really an okay question to have when volunteering, it is more than just a simple good deed done. Volunteering can help develop skills you may not have learned anywhere else, help create friendships, and garner new professional contacts. When you volunteer, you're not only supporting the organization, you're also enriching yourself.

I know here at Cancer Patient Services we are more than grateful for all of our volunteers. With the help we gain from volunteers, we are then able to provide for people diagnosed with cancer. This year marks our 70th anniversary, and I know if we did not have volunteers like you, we would have never made it this far. So thank you from the bottom of our hearts at Cancer Patient Services.
